New Earth Solutions is a waste treatment and renewable energy specialist operating at a number of facilities across the UK. They provide waste treatment services to local authority and commercial customers in the UK, helping them enhance recycling and reduce impact on the environment by diverting waste away from landfill.
New Earth Solutions run their own recycling equipment at their Blaise Composting Facility in Kent to screen impurities from compost at the end of their process. This purpose built 50,000 tonnes per year in-vessel facility for green and food waste has been operating since 2008. In 2009, planning permission was granted to increase the overall capacity to 100,000 tonnes of waste per year.
Whilst their own equipment is sufficient for much of the year, during peak garden growing times in spring and summer, New Earth Solutions need to supplement their own equipment with additional units.
Stuart Rudling, Operations Development Manager explains: “During this peak time and with space in an indoor facility being at a premium, we needed to increase our screening throughput by 50%. Being able to hire in a piece of equipment during these peak periods fulfills our requirements, but without the commitment of purchasing a large capital item.”
As the largest user of Doppstadt equipment in the world, and with a fleet of machines which substantially outstrips that of any of their competitors, CRJ supplied a Doppstadt SM518 Trommel Screen with a 20mm drum to New Earth Solutions for a hire period of one month.
“We have repeatedly chosen CRJ as our supplier since 2009,” says Stuart. “This is down to their ability to consistently react quickly to our needs, coupled with their knowledge and personal service and above all, keeping their promise to deliver the most effective machines for the job, on time.”
“On this occasion, CRJ delivered a reliable screener to us within a short timescale, and we were able to achieve the required 50% increase in throughput and maintain continuity of business.”
The hire also included CRJ’s standard maintenance and support package. All machines are backed up by in-house, factory trained engineers to deliver CRJ’s promise that, in the event of any issues, an engineer will be on site the same or next day, anywhere in the UK.
