Middlesborough-based Scott Bros offer a range of services, including recycling soil and aggregates that they then sell back into the construction and domestic markets.
Scott Bros receives construction and demolition waste via their skip hire service. This material is screened into three fractions; the sub 10mm fine fraction is removed via a 3-way-split deck screener. The oversize then fed onto a picking station where recyclables and commodities are picked.
To produce a quality aggregate product, Scott Bro's mid-sized material needs to be cleaned, removing any organic content and impurities.
CRJ Services, who has recently gained the Bruce Engineering dealership, have added 4 Bruce (BWB) Water Baths to their growing hire fleet. The Bruce Water Bath is a light-waste floatation system that maximises the recovery of recyclable materials from dirty or contaminated material streams.
Scott Bros 10 – 50mm material is screened and deposited into the Bruce BWB Water Bath.
The 10 - 50mm material is then agitated and scrubbed through the water bath, allowing for light / organic material to float to the top. The light material is ejected, leaving a clean aggregate product that is stockpiled through the front outfeed conveyor.
The resulting clean aggregate product is processed further through Scott Bros’ plant to be finished into sized and graded aggregate ready for sale.
The service we have received from CRJ Services has been great. The Bruce water bath is doing a great job cleaning up our aggregate product. I would highly recommend CRJ as a machinery supplier.
