How the easyprotect System Works

At the core of the system is a redesigned tool concept that prioritises durability and serviceability. By managing grip, feed behaviour, and load transfer at the first point of contact, the system helps reduce unnecessary stress on key components while maintaining consistent throughput.

A key feature of easyprotect is the adjustable pre-grip system, available in 25 mm, 33 mm, and 40 mm configurations. This allows the machine to be set up according to the material being processed and the desired balance between aggressiveness and control. Finer pre-grip settings provide smoother, more controlled feed for lighter or more variable material, while larger pre-grip options offer increased bite for heavier timber and dense loads. This adjustability helps maintain consistent material flow and reduces shock loading on the cutting system.

The system also incorporates a changeable first wedge, designed to simplify repair and maintenance. Rather than requiring welding when wear or damage occurs, the first wedge can now be replaced as a component. This reduces repair time, avoids heat-related stress to surrounding structure, and helps return the machine to operation quicker.

Wear parts are designed for quick, in-machine replacement, allowing damaged components to be changed efficiently without lengthy strip-downs or specialist intervention. This keeps machines working and maintenance time to a minimum.
