The JENZ Hackthor hybrid is a powerful self-propelled wood chipper built on a heavy-duty truck chassis, designed for high-output forestry, biomass, and recycling operations. With a large 1040 mm rotor and up to approx. 500 lcm/h throughput, it handles substantial material volumes with professional performance.
Featuring dual engine technology (a MAN Euro 6e truck engine paired with a high-performance CAT C18 add-on engine), the Hackthor hybrid delivers up to 979 kW / 1,332 PS system power, combining mobility and chipping strength in one unit.
The machine’s professional cabin and intuitive control systems are engineered around operator comfort and productivity, while robust construction and hydraulic material discharge ensure reliable performance across demanding sites.
Dual Engine Concept
The Hackthor hybrid uses a dedicated truck engine for road travel and an additional high-performance chipping engine for processing. This separation allows full chipping power on site without compromising drivability, efficiency, or engine longevity.
High-Capacity Chipping System
Equipped with JENZ’s large-diameter rotor and heavy-duty infeed system, the Hackthor hybrid is designed for continuous high-volume biomass and wood processing. The setup delivers consistent material flow, high throughput, and reliable performance in demanding forestry and recycling applications.
Self-Propelled Mobility
Built on a road-legal truck chassis with an integrated operator cab, the Hackthor hybrid can move quickly between sites without external transport. This reduces logistics time and costs while providing excellent operator comfort and visibility during both travel and operation.
