The HAAS Arthos 1600 is a versatile hammermill engineered for the secondary shredding of pre-processed waste materials, including biomass, commercial and industrial waste, organic waste, plastics, and wood. Equipped with a powerful 566 kW motor and a 1,200 mm diameter rotor, it achieves throughput rates of up to 55 tonnes per hour, depending on material and configuration .
One of its standout features is the ballistic chute, which automatically ejects foreign objects and impurities without halting operations, thereby minimizing downtime and reducing maintenance costs. The hydraulic screen exchange system allows for quick and easy changes to the screen basket, enabling operators to adjust output sizes between <30 mm and <100 mm to meet specific requirements.
Additional features include flexible swinging hammers that enhance resistance to impurities, a multi-functional coloured display for machine operation and data interpretation, and remote control capabilities for various functions such as track operation and screen adjustments.
