Reaching 25 years in business isn’t just about longevity – it’s about our people.

In 2024, CRJ Services proudly marked a quarter of a century in operation by opening our doors to customers, suppliers, partners and the local community for a special Anniversary Open Day.

More Than Just Machines

Following our Anniversary Open Day, we were proud to host our very first CRJ Community Day – a family-friendly event designed to welcome local residents and the families of our team to see what happens here at CRJ.

While our business operates in the recycling, forestry and waste management sectors, this day wasn’t about contracts or specifications. It was our way of saying thank you.

A Different Atmosphere in the Yard

For one day, our yard looked very different.

Alongside our machinery displays, the space was filled with the smell of a traditional South African BBQ, the sound of laughter from the bouncy castle, children having their faces painted, and families enjoying ice cream in the sunshine. It created an atmosphere that felt relaxed, welcoming and genuinely community-focused.

Of course, the machines were still a huge part of the day. Visitors had the opportunity to get up close to some of the impressive equipment we work with every day. We loved seeing kids — and plenty of grown-ups — amazed by the sheer scale of the shredders and chippers, asking questions and learning more about how we support the recycling and waste sectors across the UK.

Seeing that curiosity and excitement reminded us why we do what we do.

More Than a Business

CRJ has always believed that being part of a local community carries responsibility. We’re not just a company operating within the area — we’re part of it.

Hosting Community Day allowed families to see where their parents, partners and friends work. It allowed neighbours to understand what happens behind our gates. And it allowed us to show that behind the machinery is a hardworking, welcoming team that cares about doing things properly.
