Driving Change in Mia’s Memory

As 2024 drew to a close, Rob Symons and a number of our CRJ drivers joined in on the festivities, taking part in Mia’s Festive Tractor Run in memory of Mia Jennings.

The event brought together the local community for a show of support, raising both awareness and vital funds for Cardiac Risk in the Young (CRY). Held in Mia’s memory, the tractor run was not only a moving tribute but also a reminder of why early cardiac screening and awareness are so important for young people.

Every year, young sudden cardiac death devastates families across the UK. Through fundraising efforts like this, CRY can continue its essential work – supporting cardiologists and family doctors in establishing best practice, improving access to screening facilities, and promoting cardiac health education for young people. The ultimate aim is simple but powerful: to reduce the frequency of young sudden cardiac death and help prevent other families from experiencing such heartbreaking loss.

For us at CRJ, being involved was about more than attending an event. It was about standing alongside a community, showing respect for Mia’s memory, and supporting a cause that genuinely saves lives. Seeing the tractors lined up in festive spirit, with drivers united behind one purpose, was a proud moment for everyone involved.
