CRJ returns to APF for another successful event

CRJ Services returned to the three-day APF event at Ragley Estate, Warwickshire, showcasing JENZ machinery and meeting customers and industry professionals from across the forestry and arboriculture sectors. This year’s APF was a particularly significant event, marking 50 years since the exhibition was first held in 1976.

The full CRJ Sales team attended the event across the three days, alongside members of our Parts team, giving visitors and customers the opportunity to speak directly with the people behind our machinery sales, parts and after-sales support. Joe Symons, CRJ Product Manager and NPORS-qualified trainer, was on hand throughout the show, sharing his practical experience and answering questions on machine operation and performance. We were also pleased to be joined by Michael Hourtz, Export Manager at JENZ, who flew in from Germany especially for the event.

Showcasing JENZ machinery

For CRJ, the focus was firmly on JENZ, with the JENZ HEM 593 R Chippertruck and JENZ HEM 841 Z Chipper taking centre stage on the stand. Live demonstrations of these machines gave visitors the opportunity to see them in operation and get a closer look at how JENZ equipment is designed for demanding forestry and biomass applications.

The demonstrations also provided an opportunity for the CRJ and JENZ teams to speak directly with operators and contractors about the challenges they are facing in the industry and the machinery available to help meet their processing requirements.

Visitors also got to see the JENZ BA 926 up close, giving them the chance to see the intricacies of the high-speed shredder and explore how it can support the processing of forestry and timber materials. With the demands of the forestry industry being a key focus for many visitors at APF, the JENZ BA 926 provided a practical example of the machinery available for handling challenging material efficiently.

Educating the next generation

APF isn’t just about those already working in the industry; it also plays an important role in educating and inspiring the next generation. For CRJ, the event provided a great opportunity to give young people a closer look at the machinery and demonstrate what these machines are capable of.

Students from Wykham Park Academy were given an insight into the machinery by CRJ Regional Business Manager, Jules Cullis, who talked them through the reason for biomass and how our machines are used in day-to-day operations.

Seeing the reaction from students as they saw the Chippertruck in action was a real highlight of the event. It’s these hands-on experiences that can help bring the industry to life and give the next generation a better understanding of the careers and opportunities available within it.

Looking back on APF 2026

APF 2026 was a fitting way to celebrate 50 years of the exhibition and the continued development of the forestry and arboriculture industries. For CRJ, it was another opportunity to bring the machinery we represent directly to the people who use it and strengthen relationships with customers and industry professionals.

Visitors also had the chance to take part in our spin-the-wheel competition with a chance to win JENZ and CRJ merchandise adding a bit of fun to the CRJ stand and giving us plenty of opportunities to chat with visitors throughout the event.

A huge thank you to everyone who visited the CRJ stand, spoke with the team and took the time to watch the demonstrations.

If you’re interested in any of the forestry machinery showcased at APF, speak to our team to find out more about the machines, specifications and options available for your operation.
