About Previous Processing Challenge

Previously, J&S Vicary’s processing workflow required material to be shredded, screened, and then re-shredded to achieve the required output. This multi-stage process increased handling time, extended machine running hours, and added unnecessary complexity to day-to-day operations.

With the introduction of the Jenz BA 926, that process has been simplified significantly. The machine’s power and high-speed shredding capability now allow material to be processed effectively in a single pass. By removing the need for secondary shredding, J&S Vicary have reduced handling, shortened processing time, and improved overall efficiency across the site.

Understanding the Customer

Before the Jenz BA 926 was specified, CRJ Services spent time understanding how material moved through J&S Vicary’s site and how the existing workflow operated in practice. This included looking at the types of material being handled, the variation in size and density, and the stages involved in processing.

By reviewing the existing process, it became clear that a single, higher-output shredder would simplify operations. The Jenz BA 926 was selected to suit J&S Vicary’s material profile and integrate smoothly into their established setup, helping reduce unnecessary steps while maintaining consistent output.

The Jenz BA 926 High-Speed Shredder

The Jenz BA 926 is a high-speed shredder developed for operations that require a single machine capable of processing a wide range of timber-based materials. It is particularly suited to applications involving brash, roundwood, oversize logs and stumps, where material size, density and consistency can vary significantly from load to load.

A defining characteristic of the BA 926 is its ability to process mixed and irregular feedstock without the need for extensive preparation. Brash bundles, uneven timber and bulky material can be fed consistently, allowing operators to maintain workflow and reduce handling time. This versatility makes the machine well suited to sites where material types change frequently, and output demands remain high.
