Supporting Apprenticeships

When I first joined CRJ I had no idea what to expect as this was my first full time job. The team in the stores was very welcoming and taught me the basics of my day-to-day role which they required me to do. I enjoyed it as no order was the same and there were always different scenarios needing different parts to help solve the problem. Gained valuable knowledge of parts and machinery while also gaining a qualification helping me to get to where I am today.

Working in this industry I think unless you work here few people will understand or know anything about it. I had genuinely 0 idea of anything when I first started. It helps you understand as all the parts and service kits you are picking everyday are all for specific machines, this helps you understand and learn why certain things go out more than others.  Working closely with Bri & Andy in the stores and every day with our in-house engineers this helped me gain the most knowledge as they had the answers to the questions that came up from me and helped me understand the machinery and business further.

It has developed massively since I started in the stores as an apprentice. When I started, I had no knowledge of the industry or machinery, however from the role I started with I had gained enough knowledge and trust to get a switch over to a sales admin for the sales team. This involved with dealing with our CRM system and doing daily machinery quotes and sales packs for the sales team out on the road. This then led me onto coming into the hires team where my focus is to push hire machinery out, along with all the admin side of the hire process and taking in daily enquiries from customers. I would say that I am now a trusted and valued employee at CRJ.

I would recommend CRJ because I think my path sort of proves a point in that they will put trust in a younger person and there is career progression available here as long as you put the hard work in.
